Water Housings for Panasonic Lumix Cameras
We are happy to announce our Water Housings for Panasonic Lumix Cameras support both the Lumix GH4 and GH5.
At the time of its release in May 2014, the Lumix GH4 was notable for being the world’s first Mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera with 4K Video recording capability.
As a 4K video camera, it can be categorized as a pro-level video camera that can record in Cinema 4K mode (4096 x 2160).
In January 2017 Panasonic released the Lumix DC-GH5. It was the first mirrorless camera capable of shooting 4K resolution video with 10-bit color with 4:2:2 chroma subsampling, along with recording in 4K 60p or 50p (but only in 8 bit). It also captures both 4K and Full HD without time limits.
Originally founded as a producer of lightbulb sockets in 1918, Japan’s Panasonic company has expanded to offer a wide range of consumer electronic products. In the years after WWII, Panasonic joined other Japanese companies in the post-war boom in consumer electronics and home appliances. Exporting transistor radios, light fixtures, and many other products across the globe.
Beginning in the 1960’s, Panasonic began exporting televisions to America and Europe. Today the company is one of the largest producers of TV sets in the world.
Panasonic entered the market for digital cameras in 2001 with its Lumix line of models ranging from simple point-and-shoot to full-featured digital SLR’s.
Panasonic also produces the Leica line of point-and-shoot digital cameras.
With the debut of the Lumix GH4 Mirrorless camera in 2014, Panasonic entered the market for professional DSLR cameras. A strong alternative option for photographers accustomed to using a bulkier ‘mirrored’ camera. Panasonic’s compact line of Mirrorless cameras offer professional-level features such as :
