Water photography presents unique lighting challenges that demand innovative solutions. Our latest product, the flash water housing unit designed for Canon R series cameras, addresses these needs by integrating seamlessly with the Godox TT685II flash unit. This new addition to our water housing accessory line enables you to expand your creativity by utilising the flash to provide your imagery with unique lighting. Whether that be lighting up a surfer in the tube or air at sunset, or lighting up an amazing underwater reef in tropical waters at sunrise for a swim wear shoot. A flash paired with your water housing can give you the edge.

Seamless Integration with Canon Mirrorless R Series Cameras
Our underwater flash unit is, so far, designed just for Canon Mirrorless series R cameras. However, we have the Nikon and Sony versions in the works and the C2080, C2090 and C5100 housings made for their mirrorless range are already equipped to have the flash cables installed when needed. Expect the same usability of the flash inside the housing as you have using it on dry land. We have made it possible to not only switch the flash on and off, but adjust the flash power output and focal length range. As well as toggling between modes on the flash. This makes our CF685 flash housing highly versatile.

Compatibility with Godox Flash Units
Godox is renowned for its reliable and powerful flash systems, and now, you can harness this power in the water. The flash unit allows for easy attachment and operation of the Godox TT685II flash unit, giving you the flexibility and control needed to achieve professional-grade lighting in your underwater photography.

Smart, Durable Design
Constructed with the rugged demands of water photography in mind, our flash unit is tough while keeping weight as low as possible. The design is streamlined with rounded edges wherever possible, to enhance your swimming experience in the water. Like the housing it is rated to 10m/33ft and has a one year warranty, see our terms and conditions for more details.
The team recently tested it for a late afternoon shoot at Padang Padang during a large swell and the C2090 paired with the flash allowed them to swim easily into position and get deep, with complete trust in their equipment so they could get some interesting angles with the flash.

Easy-to-Use Interface
We understand that underwater photography can be complex, which is why our flash unit features an intuitive interface that simplifies operation. With easy-to-access controls, you can adjust flash settings quickly and efficiently, even with gloves on. This user-friendly design ensures that you can make necessary adjustments on the fly, maintaining your creative flow and capturing stunning images with ease.

Enhanced Lighting Control
Our underwater flash unit offers advanced lighting control options to suit various photographic needs. Whether you’re aiming for soft, diffused lighting or a more direct and intense flash, you can adjust the settings to match your creative vision. The unit supports multiple flash modes, including TTL (Through-The-Lens) and manual settings, providing the versatility required for different underwater scenarios.

Multiple Flash Units
The Godox TT685 II can be used in synchronisation with other flash units, allowing truly complete lighting solutions. An integrated 2.4 GHz X radio system is incorporated into the TT685S for wireless triggering. Able to be set up as a master or slave, this flash will help you create a versatile lighting setup with a range of 328′ and support for 32 channels and four groups. Functions as a transmitter unit for the V1, AD200Pro, and AD300Pro flash systems. Also functions as a receiver unit for X1, X2, XPro, and V1 transmitter units.

Versatile Mounting Options
Our flash unit is designed with versatility in mind, offering multiple mounting options to suit your setup. It can be easily attached to our C2080, C2090 and C5100 housing models, ensuring a secure fit and stable operation when swimming in dynamic environments.
Then we also have a 3 meter coiled cable option, allowing an almost limitless amount of angles to explore for lighting up above and below the surface for fashion, seascapes and portraits in calm water situations.

The On/Off Switch – Why is it Important?
The on/off switch on the flash was an important switch to consider. As the natural lighting can quickly change and your need for the flash may change mid-shoot. It is important to be able to turn the flash off so you can access your regular shutter speed range that is available when the flash is not connected. For example, if you swim out to shoot some surfing at 5pm, you may not want to use the flash until the sun gets low in the sky. With our unit you can shoot your camera normally and when the flash is wanted, you can turn on the flash with the turn of a dial.
