Its unique design allows you to secure your back plate without the fear of loosing it as the half thread insure the bolt to be captured in.

Half Threaded 5 mm Captured Hex Bolt Overview

The Half threaded 5 mm Captured Hex Bolt is a very special bolt designed expressly to safely secure all Liquid Eye Back Plates.

Thanks to its design (the upper shaft diameter is smaller than the thread diameter), it allows you to secure with ease all our back plates and you will not need to worry about loosing them as they are captured in the back plate and they cannot accidentally fall.

This is a unique feature provided by Liquid Eye.

A couple of extra M5X16mm Half threaded bolts are included in our advanced  C2100, C1794XII and C1894 models. Those bolts are made out of A4 stainless steel which is marine grade class. This special bolt is to be used with our T shaped 4mm Allen key.

It is always a good idea to bring some extra bolts if you intend to go shoot in a very remote place without any supply store near by.
